The EU starts accession talks with Ukraine and Moldova, grants candidate status to Georgia, and starts negotiations with Bosnia as soon as the relevant criteria are met.
The European Council decided to start accession talks with Ukraine and Moldova. This was announced by the President of the European Council Charles Michel on X, UNN informs.
"The European Council has decided to start negotiations on the accession of Ukraine and Moldova," Michel said.
In addition, the European Council granted candidate status to Georgia. And the EU will start negotiations with Bosnia and Herzegovina when the necessary level of compliance with the membership criteria is reached
"A clear signal of hope for their people and for our continent," Michel summarized.
