We are increasing pressure on Russia. The EU today blacklisted Russia due to money laundering risks. This will slow down and make transactions with Russian banks more expensive

- Kallas noted.

She also reported that the EU is working on a loan of 90 billion euros to support Ukraine and preparing the 20th package of sanctions against Russia.

In addition, a proposal to ban former Russian military personnel from entering the Schengen area due to security threats is being discussed.

Kallas emphasized that any measures that limit the financing of the Russian war must remain on the agenda.

At the same time, the EU continues to plan its contribution to security guarantees for Ukraine - from expanding training programs to supporting the defense industry and the process of European integration.

Separately, she emphasized the importance of holding Russia accountable for aggression.

Russia started this war and must be held accountable

- Kallas stated.

According to her, last week the European Union already allocated the first 10 million euros for the creation of a special tribunal for the crime of aggression against Ukraine.
