A video has been posted online showing Erdogan handing the family the keys to their new home after the speech. Two of the family's children were the first to take the stage.
The president stretched out his hand for them to kiss it, but one of the boys did not. In response, Erdogan slapped him. After that, the child kissed his palm, and the Turkish leader, according to media reports, gave both children pocket money.
