Ed Sheeran has left Warner Music after 15 years of collaboration, informing fans that the decision was not a "disgruntled artist situation," UNN reports, citing NME.

Details

The singer announced this in his newsletter on Friday, May 22, writing that it is "not a 'disgruntled artist leaves record company' situation" and that he remains on good terms with the team.

"This is a guy who started at the company as a teenager with different priorities, and has now become a father of two and feels he needs a change and a shift in professional approach," he wrote.

Sheeran was signed to Warner's British division, Asylum Records, with his albums released through the Warner Atlantic label in the US.

He released his first album "+" with them in 2011, followed by "x", "÷", "-", "=" and his new hit "Play".
