Denmark has suspended four years of military cooperation with Georgia due to the EU's decision. The country calls on Georgia to return to the Euro-Atlantic path and to adhere to the EU's reform agenda.

Denmark has suspended four years of military cooperation with Georgia, the budget of which amounted to approximately 71.5 million Danish kroner (over 28 million GEL). This became known from a letter from the Danish Foreign Ministry, which was sent to opposition MP Theona Akubardia in response to her question, Georgia Online reports, according to UNN.

According to the letter, in accordance with the decision of the Council of the European Union in June 2024, and after the suspension of assistance to Georgia from the EU Peace Fund, Denmark decided to consider a full review of bilateral assistance to the Georgian government.

According to the letter, Denmark will suspend planned activities and new programmatic support to the Georgian government while the audit is ongoing.

Denmark calls on the Georgian government to return to the Euro-Atlantic path and to adhere to the EU reform agenda, which is the basis of the strong bilateral ties between Denmark and Georgia,
