Changes in military registration: who is subject to exclusion and how it works

The Parliament has passed a law on the exclusion from military registration of persons found unfit for service. The military registration documents will not be confiscated, but will be marked with an exclusion note.
The Parliament adopted a law concerning military service and the registration of persons declared unfit for service. One of the main questions that arose after the adoption of this legislative act was whether such citizens would be excluded from military registration.
This was stated at a briefing by the head of the Central Military Medical Commission of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Dmytro Miroshnychenko, reports UNN.

According to the new legislation, persons found unfit for military service will be excluded from the military register. This is provided for in Article 37 of the law on military duty and military service
Article 37 of the law stipulates that the following categories of citizens are subject to exclusion from the register:
1. Persons who are deceased or recognized as missing or declared dead.
2. Those who have terminated their citizenship of Ukraine.
3. Citizens recognized as unfit for military service.
4. Persons who have reached the age limit for being in the reserve.
However, it is important to note that when such persons are deregistered, their military registration document is not withdrawn.
Instead, it will contain data on deregistration in accordance with these clauses. This applies to both persons who are unfit for service and those who have reached the age of retirement.
Thus, the law clearly defines the procedure for deregistration for certain categories of citizens.
