The Cabinet of ministers approved the veterans ' policy strategy until 2030 with three key goals. The plan calls for improving the well-being of Veterans, honoring them, and engaging them in national security.

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved the veterans ' policy strategy for the period up to 2030 and approved the operational action plan for its implementation. This was announced by the government's representative in Parliament Taras Melnychuk in Telegram, reports UNN.

"The veterans' policy strategy for the period up to 2030 was approved and the operational action plan for its implementation in 2024-2027 was approved, " Melnichuk wrote.

Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said during the Government Meeting that the veterans ' policy strategy is a fundamental document that reflects all areas of interaction between the state and the veteran: from the initial steps in returning a soldier to civilian life, to the veteran's ability to strengthen the life of the community, region, and state.

There are three strategic goals:

  • The first is the welfare of veterans and their families, as well as the restoration of human capital. We are talking about services, treatment, rehabilitation, social guarantees, work, housing, business, training.
  • The second strategic goal is respect and respect. This is a recognition of the heroic contribution of veterans and the memory of the dead.
  •  the third strategic goal is to ensure national security and defense capability. We are talking about reflecting the interests and experience of veterans in the National Security Strategy, as well as the participation of veterans in the formation of national identity and preparation for National Resistance.
