The Ukrainian government has approved a draft agreement with the EU to receive €50 million for port repairs. During the 11 months of the sea corridor's operation, cargo turnover in the ports of Greater Odesa amounted to 60 million tons.

The Cabinet of Ministers has approved a draft supplementary agreement between the government of Ukraine and the European Commission, which will allow attracting €50 million in EU support for the repair and development of Ukraine's port infrastructure. This was announced during a government meeting by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal, UNN reports .

The key to logistics is the operation of the Ukrainian sea corridor. In the 11 months of its operation, cargo turnover in the ports of Greater Odesa amounted to 60 million tons. Almost 41 million tons are exported food. This became possible thanks to the success of our Defense Forces in the Black Sea, thanks to export support programs, thanks to war risk insurance. Today, we are making a decision that will allow us to attract EUR 50 million of support from the EU for the repair and development of our port infrastructure,

- Shmyhal said.

Addendum

Government representative in the Verkhovna Rada Taras Melnychuk clarifiedthat the Cabinet of Ministers has approved the draft additional agreement No. 1 (in the form of an exchange of letters) between the government of Ukraine and the European Commission to the agreement on financing the Support for Ukraine's Early Recovery measure.

The additional agreement provides for the EU to allocate additional funding to the state budget of Ukraine in the amount of EUR 50 million for the repair and improvement of port infrastructure by reallocating funds from the EU Support for Recovery and Reforms measure to the Support for Ukraine's Early Recovery measure,
