Budanov reacted to clashes with the crowd and the TCR in Lviv and expects a fair response from law enforcement

The Head of the Presidential Office, former Chief of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense Kyrylo Budanov, reacted to the conflict involving a crowd and representatives of the Territorial Recruitment Centers (TCR) in Lviv, stating that he expects a "fair" response from law enforcement agencies, reports UNN.

If today you tear off the clothes and beat a serviceman of your own army, think about who will defend you tomorrow from the enemy army, which will beat and tear off clothes just the same, but from you. I expect a fair response from law enforcement agencies regarding the events in Lviv,

Update

On the evening of July 8 in Lviv, in the Sykhiv district, a crowd attempted to "free" a man from TCR workers under chants of "shame" and began beating the official TCR vehicle, which, according to local public reports, was overturned. The police and the local TCR stated that the conflict occurred due to the detention of a military-liable man who was on the wanted list.

The Head of the Lviv Regional Military Administration, Maksym Kozytskyi, reported at night that "we held an urgent meeting with law enforcement officers regarding the situation with the blocking of TCR vehicles in Sykhiv."

"The primary task is to ensure public order! Everyone who committed offenses, including obstruction of the activities of servicemen, must be identified and held accountable. There is no place for lawlessness in Lviv region! At the same time, the regional TCR will conduct an official investigation into the legality of the actions of TCR servicemen regarding the notification of a citizen born in 1996 who was on the wanted list. I urge everyone to remember the law and that we have one enemy," - wrote Kozytskyi on social media.

"What we saw yesterday in Lviv is very bad. Not yet a diagnosis, but already a symptom. (…) The shameful behavior of a group of people cannot destroy the reputation of the community, but it has cast a shadow. (…) The videos we saw yesterday are sadness and shame. Be wise!" - commented on the incident the Mayor of Lviv, Andriy Sadovyi, on social media.

The Military Ombudsman, Olha Reshetylova, commenting on the events, stated that she will again receive dozens of invitations to broadcasts, requests for comments and interviews, where, as she expects, they will "ask how it happened that civilians attack the military? And who is responsible for this." "I will not go to any such interview. In general, for the last year I have been refusing all journalists who see problems only in the violation of the rights of draft evaders and do not see the several million servicemen and their family members - those who carry the state on their shoulders, often unnoticed and silently, who cannot shout over the crowd of parasites," Reshetylova wrote on social media. "So, about the question of who is responsible. Definitely the government, the military-political leadership, local self-government, which for so many years cannot find a balance between the needs of the economy and the needs of the army. A complete review of the reservation principles is needed, from which the mobilization reform should begin. But to implement this, not only political will is needed, not only a team of powerful bureaucrats, but also public support, and there is none. Don't you know why? A special place in hell will be for those politicians and officials who hype on the topic of mobilization. You all know them, there is nothing to add here."
