On her Instagram page, Beyoncé shared a photo of herself holding a glass of whiskey called SirDavis. She captioned her post with the words "DAVIS IN MY BONES" and left a link to the official website of the new brand.

SirDavis was named after Beyoncé's paternal great-grandfather, Davis Gogh, who hid bottles of whiskey on a farm during Prohibition in the southern United States.

"When I learned that my great-grandfather was a moonshiner, I felt like my love of whiskey was predestined," said Beyoncé. - "SirDavis is a way to pay tribute to him by bringing us together through a new shared heritage.

This brand of whiskey is the first Moët Hennessy product to be fully developed in the United States. It is made from a blend of 51% rye and 49% barley malt and is aged in sherry barrels, which, according to the manufacturer, gives the drink a "bold sophistication.

The tall bottle, which depicts a bronze horse, is also a reference to Beyoncé's latest albums, CNBC notes.

SirDavis will go on sale in September for $89 per bottle.
