Vyacheslav Gladkov has declared a state of emergency in Russia's Belgorod region due to the ongoing Ukrainian offensive. The governor called the situation extremely difficult and asked the federal government to declare a state of emergency as well.
The governor of the Russian Belgorod region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, said on Wednesday morning that he had declared a state of emergency in the region. He announced this in his Telegram, UNN reports .

The reason for this decision is the ongoing Ukrainian offensive.
"The situation in the Belgorod region continues to be extremely difficult and tense," Gladkov said.
Gladkov also asks the federal government to declare a state of emergency.
