Investigators of the Khmelnitsky Region Police in August 2023 opened criminal proceedings on the fact of ill-treatment of a bear, and they initiated a study by specialized services of the conditions of keeping the animal.
Based on qualified conclusions, law enforcement officers filed a petition to local authorities to transport the animal from the zoo corner in Khmelnitsky, where it is located he lived from birth in a brown bear rehabilitation center in Transcarpathia. So Baloo got to Sinevir.
