It is noted that Ukrainian Energy Minister Herman Halushchenko held an online meeting with Lithuanian Energy Minister Dainius Kreivis.
The key topic of the conversation was assistance to the Ukrainian energy sector.
Compared to last year, the enemy has changed its tactics, and the current attacks have much more complicated consequences for us. Thermal power generation has suffered very serious damage, the enemy is systematically attacking substations and hydroelectric generation facilities
Kravis emphasized that Lithuania is ready to support Ukraine and provide equipment that will help with restoration and repair work.
The parties agreed that a group of Ukrainian energy specialists from public and private sector companies will soon visit Lithuania. During the visit, Ukrainian specialists will visit a number of Lithuanian energy facilities to verify equipment that will be subsequently transferred to the Ukrainian energy sector.
In particular, we are talking about large-sized equipment for thermal power plants, which is extremely important for the Ukrainian energy sector, which has lost a significant amount of thermal generation due to the enemy's attack.
We thank Lithuania for this support. Your help is very important to us. We have already received two powerful autotransformers and 72 cargoes with other necessary power equipment weighing more than 1,300 tons from the Lithuanian side

Dainius Kravis noted that Lithuania is considering the possibility of transferring another powerful autotransformer.
During the meeting, Mr. Galushchenko also emphasized that it is crucial to increase generating capacity to get through the next winter. Special attention will be paid to decentralization and distributed generation.
