Additional costs that would be better spent on the Armed Forces - university professor opposes renaming Brovary to Brovari
Kyiv • UNN
An assistant professor of management at the University of Artificial Intelligence opposes renaming Brovary to Brovari. He believes that funds for changing the documentation would be better spent on helping the Armed Forces.
The money that will have to be spent on changing seals, plates, and much more would be better spent on helping the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This is one of the key arguments why the Verkhovna Rada should not vote to change the name of the city of Brovary to Brovari. This opinion was voiced by Maksym Tkachenko, an assistant at the Department of Management and Business Administration of the University of Artificial Intelligence and Digitalization, a member of the Brovary City Council, in a commentary to UNN.

According to him, the controversial initiative of MP Roman Lozynsky and some of his colleagues to rename Brovary now that the country is at war is completely out of time.
I am in favor of the old name of the city of Brovary, which we have now. Such initiatives are absolutely out of time. This is the first thing. Secondly, it is financially expensive - seals, plates, etc. This will entail funds that can be easily and better sent to help the Armed Forces,

Viktor Gaidukov, a member of the Brovary City Council and a business representative, shares the same position.
"All businesses will need to change their documentation. New signs will have to be made in the city. Every resident will have to change everything. No one has calculated, but it is very expensive. These funds can be directed to the Armed Forces and this is much more important today," said Gaidukov in a comment to UNN.
In his turn, MP Vitaliy Bezgin arguesthat due to gaps in the legislation, the renaming of a settlement will not automatically entail the renaming of a community. Therefore, there will be no additional costs, including changes in documentation.
