"Enemy Telegram channels are spreading an image of a fake document on changes to the Electoral Code of Ukraine. It claims that Ukrainians living abroad allegedly cannot vote in the presidential elections," the CCD said.

The CCD explained that the falsified "document" deliberately changed points and articles in order to create a false impression of the content of the document.

"The fake distorts the content of Article 7, Part 7. In fact, it only concerns local elections. Those who are abroad really cannot participate in them. However, they have the full right to vote in the presidential elections," the CCD said.

It is also noted that the fake states that Article 181 on establishing the results of voting abroad has become invalid.

"This is not true: the article is valid and establishes the procedure for counting votes from foreign polling stations," the Center for Countering Disinformation emphasized.

"This is a lie and a manipulation - there is no such law. There is no mention of such changes to the electoral legislation in the legislative database of the Verkhovna Rada and on the President's website," the CCD summarized.

And added that the purpose of the fake is to sow distrust in the Ukrainian authorities, incite internal citizenship and demoralize society.

"This is a typical example of an information attack by the Russian Federation," the CCD said.
