In Chernivtsi, a minibus collided with a tow truck, injuring 11 people, including the driver and 10 passengers, two of whom were children aged 9 and 12.

The accident occurred in the evening of July 9 at the intersection of Halytskyi Shlyakh and Kolomyiska streets in Chernivtsi.

"Law enforcement officers have previously found out that a 69-year-old driver of a Volkswagen Transporter, moving down Halytskyi Shlyakh Street in Chernivtsi, collided with a Mercedes-Benz tow truck driven by a 62-year-old resident of Ternopil Oblast, who was leaving Kolomyiska Street," the police said.

As a result of the accident, the driver and 10 passengers of the minibus, including two children aged 9 and 12, reportedly sustained injuries of varying severity. Paramedics hospitalized the victims to provide them with the necessary assistance.

The driver of the other vehicle and two other citizens were examined by doctors and provided assistance without hospitalization.

The car accident  was registered in the URPI on the grounds of Part 1 Art. 286 (Violation of the rules of road safety or operation of transport by persons driving vehicles) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
