In Tbilisi, 50 protesters were detained at night, demanding the resignation of the government and new elections. The total number of detainees exceeded 200 people, some of them received injuries and fractures.

On the night of December 1,  50 protesters were detained in Tbilisi, demanding the resignation of the government and new elections. This is reported by Rustavi2 with reference to the data of the Ministry of internal affairs of Georgia, reports UNN

According to preliminary data, the total number of people detained during the protests exceeded 200. 

According to the lawyers of the detainees, some of them have been released, some are in temporary detention centers, and some are in hospitals.   

Some of the detainees have injuries, external injuries,  fractures.

The detainees are mainly charged with disobedience to the police and disorderly conduct.

In the center of Tbilisi on the night of December 1, there were clashes between demonstrators and law enforcement officers. Special forces used water cannons and smoke bombs, and the protesters responded with pyrotechnics.

Protests in Georgia continue amid the political crisis caused by the decision of the government's Georgian Dream party to suspend the process of European integration. The protesters demand the resignation of the government, new elections and the country's return to the Euro-Atlantic path.
