The Cabinet of Ministers has instructed the Ministry of Infrastructure to allocate UAH 2. 7 billion for the comprehensive reconstruction of several settlements. The funds will be used to restore critical infrastructure, housing and social facilities.

Over the last day, 101 combat engagements took place, most of them in the Pokrovske and Lyman sectors. The enemy carried out 73 air strikes and fired 4,747 times, and the Defense Forces repelled numerous attacks in various parts of the frontline.

Military expert Oleg Zhdanov commented on the situation in the Kursk region of the Russian Federation. According to him, the events have a military goal to stretch the reserves of the Russian army and a political goal to discredit Putin.

Seven explosions were recorded in the direction of Yeline village of the Snovska community in Chernihiv region: 6 from artillery and 1 from a mortar. There is no information about deaths or injuries among the local population.

There were 96 combat engagements in the frontline over the last day. The enemy is most active in the Pokrovsk sector, where almost a third of its offensives took place, in particular in the areas of Vozdvyzhenka, Zhelanne, Karlivka and Hrodivka.

On August 8, Kyiv is expected to have comfortable weather without precipitation, up to +26°. Across Ukraine, the temperature will range from +25° to +32°, with partly cloudy skies and light rains possible in most regions.

In the Chernihiv region, police drew up reports against a 35-year-old woman who, according to police, was driving a car with three children while drunk. The driver's blood alcohol level exceeded the legal limit by almost 15 times.

Russian troops attacked the border of Chernihiv region. There were 39 explosions in 3 communities, using mortars, artillery and FPV drones, with no casualties among the local population.

Over the last day, 133 combat engagements took place, one third of them in the Pokrovsk sector. Ukrainian troops repelled 41 enemy attacks, the enemy launched seven missile and 50 air strikes.

During the day, 64 military clashes occurred. The most intense fighting continues in the Pokrovsky direction (10 locations) and Toretsky (7 clashes near Toretsk and New York). The enemy is actively using aviation.

A spokesman for the Siversk unit reported an increase in enemy use of FPV drones and attack UAVs in Sumy and Chernihiv regions. The enemy also continues to shell the border and conduct reconnaissance activities. The situation is tense but under control.

There were 124 combat engagements in the frontline. Most enemy attacks were repelled in the Pokrovske and Toretske sectors. The Ukrainian Armed Forces struck 14 times at Russian troop concentrations.

Over the last day, 70 combat engagements took place along the frontline. The most active offensive actions of the occupants were recorded in the Pokrovsk sector, where the enemy made 16 attempts to storm Ukrainian positions and used anti-aircraft guns.

Due to weather conditions, consumers in Kyiv, Sumy, Chernihiv and Zaporizhzhya regions lost power. Power engineers are working to restore power supply to the affected communities.

According to weather forecaster Natalia Didenko, the air temperature in Ukraine will rise again on August 12. The heatwave will cover the southern, central and northern parts of the country, but night temperatures will be lower than in July.

Today, there will be no scheduled power outages, but 96 settlements in 4 regions are without power due to the weather. The Ministry of Energy urges people to use electricity sparingly, especially during peak hours.

In the Sumy region, enemy shelling damaged critical infrastructure, a post office building, and transportation. Over the day, 41 attacks with 140 explosions were recorded in the border areas of Chernihiv and Sumy regions.

Forecasters warn of an extreme level of fire danger in most regions of Ukraine on August 4. Rains are expected in the north and west, with daytime temperatures of up to 27°C and sometimes up to 32°C.

A massive fish kill was discovered on a lake in the village of Vediltsi. The cause was a decrease in the concentration of oxygen in the water, and environmentalists are demanding action.

Ukraine's 30th army recruitment center has opened in Chernihiv. The center offers more than 10,000 vacancies and full support for recruitment, and is staffed by civilian specialists who do not issue draft notices.

In Kyiv region, a 57-year-old man is suspected of throwing a grenade into a house during a quarrel. His wife was killed, he and his son were injured. The suspect has been detained and faces up to 15 years in prison.

A 36-year-old man came to the dormitory where his ex-girlfriend lives and threatened to detonate a grenade. The SBU detained the offender and seized an F-1 combat grenade from him.

In Chernihiv region, a group of 4 people who were setting fire to railway equipment ordered by Russian special services was neutralized. The saboteurs were trying to disrupt the transportation of troops and equipment to the front.

As a result of Russian shelling, a wildfire broke out in the Kharkiv region covering 2 hectares. A private house in Kupyansk was damaged by mortar fire.

There were 127 combat engagements over the last day, 53 of them in the Pokrovsk sector. The enemy concentrated its efforts near Novooleksandrivka and Zhelanne, launching 63 air strikes and 1187 kamikaze attacks.
