A 36-year-old man came to the dormitory where his ex-girlfriend lives and threatened to detonate a grenade. The SBU detained the offender and seized an F-1 combat grenade from him.

In Chernihiv, a man came to the dormitory where his ex-girlfriend lives and threatened to blow up a grenade, special forces detained him, the Main Department of the National Police in Chernihiv region reported, UNN writes.

"A 36-year-old local resident came to the dormitory where his ex-girlfriend lives and threatened to detonate the munition. The police seized the grenade and sent it for examination," the police said.

As noted, the incident occurred on August 1 around 17:00. "The police received a report from a resident of a dormitory in Chernihiv that a drunk man with a grenade in his hands was threatening to kill her and her daughter," law enforcement officials said.

Special forces arrived at the scene and managed to avert the threat of an explosion - the attacker was detained and the dangerous munition was seized from him. Preliminary, it is an F-1 combat grenade. Police are establishing the origin of the grenade.

"During the test for intoxication, the Drager device showed 2.15 ppm," the report said.

Criminal proceedings are being investigated under Part 1 of Article 129 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (threat to kill) and Part 1 of Article 263 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (illegal handling of weapons, ammunition or explosives). The detainee was placed in a temporary detention center and faces imprisonment for a term of three to seven years.
