Zelenskyy on new appointments in the General Staff and Air Force: “Clear deadlines have been set for when the new management structure should deliver more results”

The President of Ukraine announced personnel reshuffles in the military aviation. The new appointments are intended to strengthen defense capabilities and improve the aviation component of the Defense Forces.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has approved several personnel decisions that will strengthen the aviation component of the Defense Forces. Also, clear deadlines have already been set for when the new management structure should yield more results and motivation for the entire aviation component of the Defense Forces. Zelenskyy said this in his evening address, reports UNN.

"Today, I also approved several personnel decisions that should strengthen the capabilities of our defense – the aviation component of the Defense Forces. We had a meeting with representatives of the public sector, with the military, the Office, who help develop military aviation. Dzhus's mother, Hero of Ukraine Andriy Pilshchykov, Lilia Averyanova, took part in the conversation. And we all agreed on a new structure to strengthen the aviation component, and also agreed on specific management and technological steps," Zelenskyy said.
He also spoke about personnel appointments to Defense Minister Rustem Umerov.
The Minister of Defense of Ukraine will have a specialized deputy specifically for combat aviation – Oleksandr Kozenko will be appointed. He has been involved in the adaptation of F-16s and Mirages in Ukraine for a long time. Major General Oleksiy Marchenko will now serve as Deputy Chief of the General Staff of Ukraine in this aviation area, Brigadier General Serhiy Golubtsov will be Deputy Commander of the Air Force, and Colonel Oleksandr Dyakiv will be Commander of Aviation, Deputy Commander of the Air Force. It will be recalled that Minister of Defense Rustem Umerov reported that a new vertical will appear in the Ministry of Defense and the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which will focus on the development of aviation.
