Actor Aaron Taylor-Johnson has responded to rumors that he has been recruited to play the next James Bond, UNN reports citing Rolling Stone.
Details
Taylor-Johnson appears on the cover of the new issue of Rolling Stone UK magazine, where he talks about his new role alongside Ryan Gosling in The Fall Guy and more.
On the cover, he was also asked about the ongoing rumors, which gained more traction this week, that he would replace Daniel Craig as the next Bond.
Taylor-Johnson answered the question diplomatically: "I can only really talk about what I'm going to show and tell. So, The Fall Guy, Nosferatu, Kraven the Hunter. I'm here to promote them.
Speaking about his future in acting, he added: "I don't feel like I need to paint the future. I feel that whatever is painted for me, I can do better.
It's the best when sometimes you completely lose all restraint, and you feel like you're dangling there, and the director seems to have one finger on your shirt so that you don't fall. It's all about chasing that feeling. There is nothing as inspiring as that.
It was reported this week that Taylor-Johnson has reportedly been offered the role of James Bond in the next offering of the 007 franchise.
The Sun reported that Eon Productions, the company that created the cult spy movies, had offered Taylor-Johnson the lead role.
According to the publication, Taylor-Johnson is likely to sign the contract this week and begin filming at Pinewood Studios in Buckinghamshire later this year, based on a script that is currently being developed.
