The Patrol Police of Ukraine has published tips in case you get into an accident, UNN reports.
"First, we need to make sure there are no injuries. If there are, provide first aid and call an ambulance and the police," the patrol officers emphasized.
After that, you need to turn on the alarm and install an emergency stop sign.
Don't forget about the possibility of using the European Protocol, provided that:
- no people were injured or killed in the accident;
- there is a consent of the drivers of the vehicles involved in the accident regarding the circumstances of the accident;
- both drivers have a valid policy of compulsory civil liability insurance;
- the drivers have no signs of alcohol, drug or other intoxication or being under the influence of medications;
- the amount of damage after the accident does not exceed UAH 80,000.
However, if at least one of these conditions is not met, you should call the police.
"Remember that your vehicle must remain in the place where the accident occurred so that the police can establish the circumstances of the accident," the patrol police reminded.
