Two neighborhoods in Myrnohrad have been closed to traffic due to the approach of the front line. The authorities are evacuating families with children, grocery stores will be closed from August 26, and electricity supply has been cut off in the areas closest to the front.

Two neighborhoods in the city of Myrnohrad, Donetsk region, are currently closed to traffic due to the approaching front line. On August 26, grocery stores will be closed in the city. Electricity supply has been cut off in the neighborhoods closest to the frontline.  The authorities are trying to evacuate families with children as soon as possible. This was reported by the deputy head of the Myrnohrad city military administration, Tatyana Sytnyk, in a commentary to Suspilne Donbass, UNN reported.

The situation is such that we need to leave as soon as possible, because two districts of our city - the 5/6 district and the Zakhidny district - are no longer allowed to enter: only the removal is available. People are not moving in anymore. And we are already taking people and children out in capsules

- said Sytnyk.

On August 5, the city announced the forced evacuation of families with children.

According to the MBA representative, the authorities, with the help of the police and rescuers, are trying to evacuate families with children as quickly as possible.

If the family does not evacuate on their own, we organize transportation to the evacuation points in Pokrovsk using the transport available in the community. But some people even hide their children from us. We try to find them

- Sytnyk said.

As of August 20, 493 minors remained in Myrnohrad. According to Sytnyk, on average, fifty families leave every day, which is about 120 children.

The city's ASC and pension fund offices have been closed, and banks have closed. In addition, grocery stores will not be open from Monday.

The two closest districts to the front line - “5/6” and “Zakhidny” - are currently without electricity. The rest of the city has electricity and water supply according to the usual schedule.

Three other settlements that are part of the community - Rivne, Chervonyi Lyman, and Sukhetske - are further from the front. However, they are already planning to evacuate minors by force, Sytnyk said.
