The U.S. State Department considers Putin's statement about Ukraine's 'provocation' in the Kursk region to be an exaggeration. The U.S. emphasizes that Russia has been violating Ukraine's territorial integrity since 2014, and the actions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces do not violate restrictions on the use of U.S. weapons.
Since 2014, Russia has been violating the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine, so Putin's words that "Ukraine has created a large-scale provocation" in the Kursk region "are an exaggeration." This statement was made by US State Department spokesman Matthew Miller, UNN reports .

"I saw the statement from the Russian leadership. It's a bit much for them to call it a provocation, as Russia has been violating Ukraine's territorial integrity and sovereignty since 2014," Miller emphasized.
He noted that Ukraine's actions in the Kursk region do not violate US restrictions on the use of American weapons supplied to Kyiv. According to him, the Ukrainians do not inform in advance about their tactics, which "is not surprising, because it is their war.
Miller emphasized that the United States provides Ukraine with the necessary weapons and advises on a number of issues.
The official added that regarding daily strikes, "sometimes there is communication with the Ukrainian side, and sometimes there is not," emphasizing that the Armed Forces make the relevant decisions on their own.
