The Ukrainian military leadership congratulated Laurinas Kasčūnas on his appointment as the new Minister of Defense of Lithuania, discussed the current situation on the Ukrainian front and ways to expand bilateral defense cooperation with Lithuania.
The Ukrainian military leadership has congratulated the new head of the Lithuanian Defense Ministry, Laurinas Kasčūnas. This was reported by Minister of Defense of Ukraine Rustem Umerov on the social network X, UNN reports.
Together with the Commander-in-Chief, Colonel General Oleksandr Syrskyi, they conveyed sincere congratulations to Laurynas Kasciunas on his recent appointment as Minister of Defense of Lithuania.

The greetings were transmitted via video link. Lithuanian Defense Minister Valdemaras Rupšys also took part in the conversation.
In addition to congratulating him on his appointment, the parties discussed the current situation on the Ukrainian front and support for our country in the fight against Russian aggression. General Syrsky briefed on the security situation in Ukraine.
