The Verkhovna Rada has registered a draft resolution that provides for the introduction of a new holiday in Ukraine - the Day of Thanksgiving to God. So far, the text of the resolution is not available on the Parliament's website. The resolution was authored by MP Viktor Myalyk, who was joined by the head of the Servant of the People faction, David Arakhamia, Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk, First Deputy Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Oleksandr Kornienko, and others.

In October, Viktor Myalyk registered a bill in the Rada proposing to establish a new holiday in Ukraine - the Day of Thanksgiving, which would be celebrated on the last Sunday of September. The bill also proposed to establish an additional day off on this day.
