Save Ukraine has rescued three more children from the Russian-occupied territories.

The Save Ukraine team team returned three more Ukrainian children from the territories occupied by the Russian military. The team announced this on Sunday, December 24, on Facebook, according to UNN.

"Three more children from the temporarily occupied territories territories, our team managed to return three more children. Thus, we have completed 14 rescue mission, during which we rescued 14 children, seven of whom were children deprived of parental care," the organization said.

They also told the stories of three rescued children.

At the beginning of the full-scale invasion, 8-year-old Yelisey lived with his grandmother in the occupied part of Kherson region. His mother lived in Odesa. But the grandmother died, and the occupation authorities immediately placed the child in an orphanage. Due to for health reasons, the mother could not go to pick up her son, so her cousin sister went to get him. However, the child was not given to her without explanation, although she had all the woman had all the necessary documents.

It was necessary to act, because if a child stays for six months on the territory of the Russian Federation without parental care, they are granted the appropriate status, which allows them to be placed in a Russian family or choose another way of placement.

"So our team did everything to ensure that the mother received the necessary medical care and was able to take her child from the occupied territory! On the way, the woman had to go through hours of interrogation by the FSB, interviews and overcome many obstacles. Fortunately, she was able to take her son out of the orphanage," - said Save Ukraine.

Two 18-year-old brothers, Andriy and Mykhailo, also came to Ukraine with Yelisey. brothers, Andriy and Mykhailo.

"Both are orphans who, before the full-scale invasion were brought up in a foster family in the occupied territory. When they came of age, they realized that After coming of age, the boys realized that very soon the occupation authorities would send them to fight against their own. In Ukraine, they were both reported missing.

Now all three are safe. The children are waiting for recovery and return to normal life," the organization said.

In total, the Save Ukraine team has already returned 226 children to Ukraine.
