Ukraine and Lithuania launch Brave Lithuania to create cutting-edge weaponry

Ukraine and Lithuania have announced the launch of Brave Lithuania, an innovation support initiative that will help Ukrainian and Lithuanian developers create and implement solutions in priority defense tech areas more quickly. This was reported by Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko, according to UNN

During the NATO–Ukraine Forum, the launch of Brave Lithuania was announced—an innovation support initiative to be jointly implemented by the Ministry of National Defence of Lithuania, the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, and the Brave1 cluster. The launch of the program was announced together with Lithuanian Prime Minister Inga Ruginienė in Vilnius. The initiative will help Ukrainian and Lithuanian developers more rapidly create and deploy solutions in priority defense tech sectors. Specifically, in the fields of unmanned systems, electronic warfare (EW), artificial intelligence, communication systems, and other technologies needed on the battlefield today,

- Svyrydenko reported.

According to her, the Ukrainian defense industry today is one of the most dynamic in the world. Since 2022, Ukraine's production capacities have grown 50-fold—from $1 billion to $50 billion.

Ukraine has unique experience in creating defense technologies under the conditions of a modern full-scale war. Lithuania is one of our closest partners in the field of security and defense. Combining the defense innovation ecosystems of our countries opens up new opportunities for joint developments. On the Ukrainian side, the program will be implemented by the Brave1 defense technology cluster,

- Svyrydenko added.
