After "Pam Bondi's dismissal, which followed Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem's departure last month, cabinet members and other senior administration officials anxiously watched their phones, wondering if they would be next. One senior official didn't have to wait long: Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth fired Army Chief of Staff General Randy George," the publication states.
Subsequently, the Pentagon confirmed that it had dismissed the US Army Chief of Staff.
"General Randy A. George will immediately retire as the 41st Chief of Staff of the Army. The War Department is grateful to General George for decades of service to our country. We wish him all the best in retirement," wrote US Assistant Secretary of War Sean Parnell on X.
Several people familiar with the White House's plans said that active discussions are underway regarding the departure of other administration officials, including FBI Director Kash Patel, Army Secretary Daniel Driscoll, and Labor Secretary Lori Chavez-DeRemer.
These individuals, it was stated, said that no timelines have yet been set and President Trump has not yet made a decision.
"But what was once the unofficial motto of Trump's second term - 'no scalps' - is no longer relevant," the publication notes.
