The Syzran Oil Refinery is one of the largest oil refineries of Rosneft and a key enterprise in the southern Volga region. Its annual capacity is about 8.5 million tons of oil.

On the night of July 12, the Unmanned Systems Forces, in cooperation with the GUR of the Ministry of Defense and the SBGS, struck the Syzran Oil Refinery in the Samara region of the Russian Federation. This is one of the key enterprises of Rosneft with a capacity of about 8.5 million tons of oil per year. A large-scale fire broke out on the territory of the plant, reported by the USF, UNN reports.
Details
The strike was carried out by operators of the 1st Separate Center and the 414th Brigade "Ptakhy Madara" as part of the DeepStrike operation.
The Syzran Refinery is one of the largest oil refineries of Rosneft and a key enterprise in the southern Volga region. Its annual capacity is about 8.5 million tons of oil — approximately 3% of the total oil refining volume in the Russian Federation. The plant produces gasoline, diesel fuel, aviation kerosene, fuel oil, and bitumen.
As a result of the strike, a large-scale fire broke out on the territory of the enterprise. Detailed information on the consequences is being clarified.
The Unmanned Systems Forces are consistently reducing the enemy's capabilities to supply fuel and lubricants to the Russian army and continue aggression against Ukraine
Addition
Ukrainian FP-1 Deep Strike class attack drones, manufactured by Fire Point, have surpassed some cruise missiles in characteristics, in particular the British Storm Shadow: they are capable of hitting targets at a distance of over 3,000 km and carrying a warhead comparable to a missile one, while costing tens of times less, stated Advisor to the Minister of Defense Serhiy Sternenko.
According to him, for the cost of one Storm Shadow (about $2.5 million), you can purchase 30-50 drones, and it is the mass production of cheap UAVs that has allowed Ukraine to systematically destroy Russian logistics.
As an example, Sternenko cited the strike of modernized FP-1s on the Omsk Refinery in Siberia at a distance of over 2,500 km.
Let us recall, after the strike by Ukrainian drones on the refinery in Russian Omsk, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported that there is no longer a single refinery in Russia that Ukraine cannot reach.
