The Sudanese army has approached 500 meters to the presidential palace in Khartoum, which is controlled by the RSF. Fierce fighting is taking place between the army and the militia.

On Thursday, March 20, troops of the official Sudanese army reached a distance of 500 meters from the presidential palace, which was captured two years ago by the paramilitary RSF (Rapid Support Forces). This was reported by a military source to Agence France-Presse. An AFP correspondent reported that explosions and gunfire were heard in Khartoum.
During the advance to the center of Khartoum, the troops "destroyed a column of 30 Rapid Support Forces vehicles that were trying to retreat to the south,"
