The Russian Defense Ministry says the Ukrainian army is allegedly attacking its positions in Kursk

A video was posted on Telegram channels, presumably filmed in the Kursk region, showing two airplanes in the sky and a car with fuel burning on the side of the road.
The Russian Ministry of Defense announced a "breakthrough" of the border in the Kursk region by the 22nd Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, supported by allegedly 11 tanks and more than 20 armored combat vehicles and a mountain of "destroyed" equipment, UNN reports.
"Today, starting at 8:00 a.m., the enemy, after firing training by up to three hundred militants from the 22nd Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, supported by 11 tanks and more than 20 armored combat vehicles, attacked the positions of the Russian Federation's state border protection units near the settlements of Nikolayevo-Daryino and Oleshnya in the Kursk region, directly adjacent to the Russian-Ukrainian border," the Russian Defense Ministry complains.
They claim that the state border protection forces, together with units of the Russian FSB border troops, allegedly repelled attacks and delivered fire on the enemy near the state border and reserves in Sumy region.
The Russian Ministry of Defense claims that its aviation allegedly struck at the concentrations of Ukrainian forces and equipment in the towns of Basivka, Zhuravka, Khotyn, Yunakivka, Bilovody and Khrapovshchyna in Sumy region.
"As a result of the fire damage, sixteen units of Ukrainian Armed Forces armored vehicles were destroyed, including six tanks, two infantry fighting vehicles, four armored personnel carriers, three armored combat vehicles "Kozak" and an engineering vehicle for fencing," the statement said.
The Russians claim to have "destroyed" six tanks, two infantry fighting vehicles, four armored personnel carriers, three Kozak armored fighting vehicles and an engineering fence vehicle.

No comments from representatives of the Ukrainian General Staff or the Ministry of Defense.
