Slovenia
will purchase the German air defense system IRIS-T SLM manufactured by Diehl
Defense GmbH. This was announced by the Ministry of Defense
of Slovenia, reports

Details
The agreement
was concluded after Slovenia joined the European
initiative launched by Germany, which currently includes 19 countries.

August, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed within the framework of the European
initiative, which will create a basis for joint
public procurement of air defense systems. Slovenia signed an agreement with
Germany on December 6.
Details of the
of the plan are not disclosed, but Delo reported that it is about two IRIS-T systems worth about 200 million euros.
