Russians are stepping up repressions against Ukrainians in the occupied Donetsk region who refuse to receive Russian passports, due to a significant decrease in the rate of illegal issuance of documents.
Russian invaders have decided to intensify repressions against Ukrainians in the occupied Donetsk region who refuse to receive a Russian passport. This is because the occupiers have faced a significant drop in the rate of illegal issuance of Russian passports, said Vadym Filashkin, head of the Donetsk RMA, UNN reports .
Details
According to Filashkin, the occupiers complain at closed meetings that the rate of illegal passport issuance in the occupied part of Donetsk region has dropped significantly. In the first half of this year, there was no tendency to increase the number of citizens who applied for a Russian passport. As the head of the RMA pointed out, this has never happened before.
In particular, according to the head of the RMA, collaborators responsible for pensions reported at a meeting that more than 50,000 pensioners who have not yet received a Russian passport live in the temporarily occupied territory in Donetsk Oblast.
The occupiers' leadership believes that these figures indicate insufficient work with the population by local "administrations", so they decided to intensify repressions against Ukrainian citizens who refuse to receive a Russian passport
The head of the RMA once again called on all those who failed to leave for the free part of Ukraine to be careful and wait for the release.
