Russian authorities have banned digital currency mining in Moscow, the Moscow region, and part of the Kursk region. The restrictions will be in effect from August 15, 2026 until the end of 2032.

The Russian authorities have banned mining in Moscow, the Moscow region, and several areas of the Kursk region. Digital currency will not be allowed to be mined until the end of 2032, reports UNN citing the Telegram channel Baza.

According to a resolution of the Russian government, from August 15, 2026, the list of territories where a ban on digital currency mining is in effect includes Moscow, the Moscow region, and a number of settlements in the Kursk region.
The restrictions will be in effect until December 31, 2032.
