Russia launched a missile strike on Merefa in the Kharkiv region, damaging a service station and killing three people, with another 8 wounded, Oleh Syniehubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, reported on social media on Monday, UNN reports.

"According to preliminary information, the enemy launched a missile strike on Merefa. The territory of a service station was damaged," Syniehubov initially reported around 10 a.m.
Initially, one victim and two injured were reported, but later the head of the RMA stated: "The death toll from the Russian strike on Merefa has risen to three. As of this minute, 8 people are known to be injured; they are being treated by medics."
According to him, there were reports of a private house and a car catching fire, and other private houses, a shop, and a service station were also damaged.
"The fire has already been extinguished. We are documenting damage to private and apartment buildings, 4 shops, and a service station," he indicated later.
