Russia has started using new drones to strike Ukraine: the Presidential Administration told what it means
Kyiv • UNN
Russia has begun using new drones assembled by a “handicraft” method. According to Yermak, this indicates cheaper production and dependence on countries that help circumvent sanctions.
The head of the Presidential Office, Andriy Yermak, said that Russia's use of new drones, which are assembled using a "handicraft" method, indicates cheaper production and dependence on countries that help Russia circumvent European sanctions. He emphasized the importance of increasing arms production by democratic countries. He wrote about this in his Telegram channel, UNN reports .
Yermak pointed out that the use of new drones by the Russians in their attacks on Ukraine indicates several things. First, according to him, the "artisanal assembly" indicates the cheapening of production technologies in this war, but also the difficulty for the Russian military-industrial complex to mass-produce other models due to sanctions and restrictions.
Russia is dependent on countries that help it circumvent sanctions and obtain components for weapons production. If we tighten the screws more, and knock out Russian military-industrial enterprises, the regime will not be able to continue its intense terror
Second, as Yermak noted, warfare technologies are constantly evolving. "This is a race and we are not standing still. This also leads to the obsolescence of certain types of weapons, which become less effective against new types of weapons and principles of warfare," said Yermak.
He emphasized that the democratic world has no right to lose the technological race to autocracies. According to him, it is important to work not only through restrictions, but also by developing our own weapons, in particular, by increasing the rate of weapons production, given that autocracies rely on masses.
"It is not only about Ukraine, but also about the actions of autocratic forces in the Middle East using proxies. Ukraine is interested in producing weapons to defend itself and the principles of democracy," summarized Yermak.

Director of the Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise Oleksandr Ruvin confirmed that the enemy has started using new drones.
"We have information about new drones used by Russia. Cases of their use are currently isolated. It is known that they are visually very similar to Shahed-type kamikaze drones, but do not carry explosives. This probably means that, unlike strike UAVs, which carry out strikes, the new samples found are designed to track our air defense systems, collect information, and record damage as a result of missile and attack attacks by strike UAVs. More detailed information will be available after the relevant examinations are scheduled and the objects are transferred for research," Ruvin said.
