The Russian army has launched the third stage of exercises of non-strategic nuclear forces. The exercise will focus on preparing for the use of weapons, including work with Iskander-M and airborne weapons.
The Russian army has launched the third stage of training of non-strategic nuclear forces, during which they will practice preparing for the use of weapons. This was reported by the Russian Ministry of Defense, UNN reports .
Details
It is noted that personnel of missile formations of the Southern and Central Military Districts will take part in the exercises. They will practice receiving special ammunition for Iskander-M tactical missile systems, as well as learning how to equip launch vehicles with it and secretly move to designated position areas to prepare for electronic launches.
The personnel of the Air Force aviation units involved in the exercise will practice equipping special combat units with aviation weapons and flying to the assigned patrol areas,
The Russian Ministry of Defense also reported that the third stage is aimed at maintaining the readiness of the Russian army and equipment of the units of combat use of non-strategic nuclear weapons of Russia to perform combat missions.

On June 11, the second stage of the exercise of non-strategic nuclear forces took place in Russia . At this stage, the Russian and Belarusian military practiced "joint training" for the combat use of non-strategic nuclear weapons.
