A team of Sumyoblenergo power engineers came under artillery fire from the Russian border while repairing a power line in the village of Bachivsk, Shostka district, damaging a vehicle but leaving no one injured.

In Sumy region, a brigade of power engineers came under artillery fire from the Russian border, UNN reports, citing the Energy Ministry.

"Today, on April 9, in the village of Bachivsk, Shostka district... the Sumyoblenergo maintenance crew came under artillery fire from the Russian border," the statement reads.

According to the agency, five employees went to repair a power line damaged as a result of Russia's military aggression at a distance of about 3.5 km from the border with the aggressor country. All necessary permits for the repair work were obtained from the military and local authorities.

"...none of the power engineers were injured, but the crew's vehicle was severely damaged," the statement said.
