Hungary offered Ukraine a "Christmas ceasefire" with Russia, as well as a large-scale exchange of prisoners. This was announced by Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban and added that "Zelensky clearly rejected it," UNN reports.
"At the end of the Hungarian EU presidency, we made new efforts for peace. We proposed a Christmas ceasefire and a large-scale prisoner exchange. It's a shame that President Zelenskyy has clearly rejected and ruled this out today. We did everything we could!" - Orban wrote on the social network X.
This is how the Hungarian prime minister responded to the irony of the Ukrainian president's conversation with Putin.
It should be noted that neither representatives of the President's Office nor Zelenskyy himself commented on Orban's statement about the "Christmas truce.
