Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban has said that "the most dangerous weeks of the war between Russia and Ukraine" are underway. UNN writes about this with reference to his address to X.

In his post, Orban said that in the morning he had an hour-long phone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin. According to Orbán, Hungary is doing everything possible to achieve a ceasefire and the start of peace talks through diplomatic means.

"These are the most dangerous weeks of the war between Russia and Ukraine. We are taking all possible diplomatic steps to support the ceasefire and peace talks," the Hungarian prime minister said

Details of his talks with Putin remain unknown.

As UNN wrote earlier, Putin discussed with Orban the further development of mutually beneficial energy projects and shared his opinion on the "Kyiv line," which, according to him, makes it impossible to resolve the conflict.

Orban, in turn, expressed interest in facilitating a diplomatic solution to the "Ukrainian crisis.

In addition, they discussed the tense situation in the Middle East, particularly the events in Syria.
