Another item on the Ukraine Facility Plan: The Verkhovna Rada approved the program for the development of the mineral resource base

The Parliament approved the updated program for the development of the mineral resource base of Ukraine until 2030 within the framework of the Ukraine Facility Plan. The program is aimed at providing the economy with its own mineral resources and reducing import dependence.
The Parliament approved the program for the development of the mineral resource base of Ukraine until 2030. The adoption of this law is one of the items in the implementation of the Ukraine Facility Plan. This was reported by UNN with reference to the parliamentary corps.

The purpose of the Program is to meet the needs of the national economy in mineral resources through domestic extraction, reducing Ukraine's dependence on the import of mineral resources and increasing the export potential of our country through the extraction of minerals that are in high demand on the world market.
The document updates the program approved in 2011:
- a new version of Sections I-II ("General Part", "Purpose of the Program") and Appendices 2-3;
- addition of new sections, "Ways to Solve the Problem", "Regional Studies" and "State Monitoring of Subsoil";
- updating the tasks and measures of the program, including the chapters "Unconventional Hydrocarbons" and "Groundwater".
A significant part of the funds spent on the implementation of the program is expected to be compensated during its implementation at the expense of the budget program for the development of the mineral resource base (the state compensation fund in the geological field), as well as from the sale of geological information created during the implementation of the program.
