According to the Deputy Minister of Health and Chief State Sanitary Doctor, no positive results for cholera-like vibrio have been found in Ukraine so far.
So far, no positive findings of cholera-like vibrio have been detected in Ukraine. The enhanced cholera surveillance season begins on June 1. This was reported to UNN by Deputy Minister of Health - Chief State Sanitary Doctor Igor Kuzin.

"The intensified cholera surveillance season begins every year from June 1 to October 1, and surveillance is conducted year-round," the Ministry of Health told UNN.
The Ministry of Health noted that a total of 12,604 people with acute intestinal infection were examined across the country from June to October 2023 (the season of enhanced cholera surveillance), and no cases or outbreaks of cholera were detected.

Context
On April 3, the advisor to the mayor of Mariupol, Petro Andriushchenko, reportedthat massive cases of cholera among children had been detected in Mariupol. Therefore, the occupation authorities are trying to quickly silence the situation with an undeclared quarantine.
He said that there are currently more than 10 cases of cholera in different schools in Mariupol. Andriushchenko noted that it is too early to talk about an epidemic, but there is a great threat that the situation could quickly escalate.
