Details

Near Pokrovsk, where the composer Mykola Leontovych once lived and worked, the legendary composition "Shchedryk" sounded. Now the Russian occupiers are on the outskirts of the city where the world-famous melody was once created.

The melody was played outdoors by a border guard, a policeman, a National Guard soldier, and a DSNS rescuer. They all serve in the Donetsk region.

"More than 100 years ago, 'Shchedryk' became a symbol of the struggle of Ukrainians for independence. The author of the work was knocked out for his activities, but no one will be able to kill the idea of Ukraine, its culture and customs," the DSNS said.

Reminder

The French brand Chanel used the melody of "Shchedryk" by Mykola Leontovych in a new Christmas video for the makeup collection. The video shows top model Vittoria Ceretti waiting for the first snow under the legendary Ukrainian melody.
