MP: Parliamentary committee rejects amendment on mobilization from the age of 18

The Parliamentary Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence rejected the amendment on mobilization from the age of 18.

The parliamentary committee on national security, defense and intelligence today rejected an amendment to the draft law on mobilization from the age of 18, MP Oleksiy Honcharenko said on Tuesday, UNN reports.

The National Security Committee has just rejected an amendment that could have led to forced mobilization from the age of 18

Recall

On February 7, the Verkhovna Rada voted in favor of government draft law No. 10449, which provides for changes to the legislation on mobilization, in the first reading. The parliament emphasized that the draft law would be amended by the second reading. 

In particular, the mono-majority indicatedthat compromises would be sought for the second reading on postponement of military service for graduate students, seizure of accounts, etc.
