More than 4 million Ukrainians have contracted ARVI, influenza and COVID-19 this season

During the week of April 1-7, 121,584 Ukrainians fell ill with ARVI, influenza and COVID-19, including 1,272 new cases of COVID-19.
In Ukraine, since the beginning of the epidemic season in October, more than 4 million Ukrainians have contracted SARS, influenza, and COVID-19, 78 people have died as a result of flu complications and 900 as a result of COVID-19. During the week of April 1-7, the incidence among adults and children decreased by 6.1% and 9.7%, respectively, compared to the previous week. This was reported by the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, UNN writes.

"Since the beginning of the epidemic in October, 4,148,645 Ukrainians have contracted SARS, influenza and COVID-19. There have been 978 deaths: 78 cases due to complications of influenza and 900 cases among those with COVID-19," the Ministry of Health reported.
As noted, 1,272 Ukrainians fell ill with COVID-19 in a week: most cases were registered in Chernihiv and Khmelnytsky regions
Over the past week, 455 people were hospitalized as a result of COVID-19 complications. Inpatient care was required for 59 children, including one child in the intensive care unit. In total, during the week of April 1-7, 3,747 Ukrainians were hospitalized with SARS, influenza, and COVID-19. Most of them are children - 2,073 patients.
During the week of April 1-7, doctors reported 13 deaths among people who tested positive for COVID-19. All the deceased had not been vaccinated against COVID-19 in the last 12 months. Also, one death was reported in Ukraine during the week due to flu complications.
During the first week of April, 121 584 Ukrainians fell ill with SARS, influenza, and COVID-19, of whom 67 257 were children under the age of 17. However, compared to the previous week, the incidence among adults and children decreased by 6.1% and 9.7%, respectively, the Ministry of Health noted.
