The government has expanded the list of activities eligible for residency in Diia.City to include the production of bionic prostheses. This will allow companies to receive tax benefits and tools to attract investment.

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has expanded the list of activities of IT companies eligible for residency in Diia.City. In particular, companies engaged in the development, sale, maintenance, and repair of bionic prostheses will be able to join. This was announced by the government representative in the Verkhovna Rada Taras Melnychuk on Telegram, UNN reports .

"The list of activities stimulated by the creation of the Diia City legal regime has been supplemented with a new type of activity: 'Bionic prosthetics, namely the development (design/construction), production, sale of bionic prostheses (prostheses with an external energy source, prostheses with increased functionality and designs of prosthetic limbs and orthoses that allow computer control of the product and programming of its parameters), as well as the provision of services for the maintenance and repair of these products,'" Melnychuk wrote.

According to the Ministry of Digital Transformation, the number of amputees in Ukraine can currently reach up to 100,000 people.

The best solution in such cases is bionic prosthetics. These are revolutionary technologies that combine medicine, AI, software, and robotics. They allow restoring most of the functions of a lost arm. That's why it's important to develop the medtech market to make prosthetics more accessible to Ukrainians

It is noted that in Diia.City, manufacturers will receive favorable tax conditions, tools for attracting investment, and opportunities to build a transparent corporate structure.
