This year's July has become the fifth hottest in the ranking of observations since 1881 in Kyiv, the Borys Sreznevsky Central Geophysical Observatory reported on Thursday, UNN reported.

According to observations by the Observatory's weather station, the average monthly air temperature in Kyiv in July was 24.3°C, which is 3.0°C above the climate norm.
"It was the fifth warmest on record since 1881 in the capital," the agency noted.
The coldest day was July 29, when the minimum temperature dropped to 14.5°C in the morning, and the warmest day was July 16, when the maximum temperature rose to +36.0°C, setting a temperature record.
"In total, 13 temperature records were recorded in Kyiv during the month," the report says.
Precipitation on Nauky Avenue was 52 mm, or 77% of the climate norm.
