Occupants from 'Española' arrested in Sevastopol, suspected of illegal trafficking of weapons and explosives

Fighters of the Española brigade were arrested in Sevastopol for illegal arms trafficking. The court remanded the suspects in custody following the disbandment of their unit.

In annexed Sevastopol, several former and current servicemen of the naval detachment of the "Española" brigade were arrested; they are suspected of illegal trafficking of weapons and explosives. This was reported by Russian media, according to UNN.

The case became known from a decision by the Southern District Military Court, which denied one of the defendants a transfer from a pre-trial detention center to house arrest.
The number of suspects in the case has not yet been disclosed.
The "Española" occupation unit was formed primarily from football ultras. According to open sources, some of its fighters openly adhered to neo-Nazi views.
The brigade participated in combat operations against Ukraine.
The unit was disbanded after the death of its commander
In the fall of 2025, the unit announced its dissolution. Subsequently, the death of the brigade commander, Stanislav Orlov, known by the call sign "Spaniard," became known.
Following this, some of the former fighters transferred to formations of the volunteer corps of the Russian Ministry of Defense.
