Aleksandar Vucic's "Serbia Must Not Stop" coalition is leading the Serbian parliamentary elections with 46% of the vote after 80% of the ballots have been counted, which means it will win and have an absolute majority in the parliament.

According to the CeSID and Ipsos public opinion research institutes,  the coalition of Aleksandar Vucic, "Serbia Must Not Stop," is leading. He has already announced the victory of his coalition in the early parliamentary elections. This was reported by DW, UNN reported.

On the night of Monday, December 18, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic announced the victory of the Aleksandar Vucic - Serbia Must Not Stop coalition led by the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) in the country's early parliamentary elections. 

"With 127 mandates, we will have an absolute majority in the parliament," Vucic said, .

At the same time, after counting 80% of the ballots, Vucic's coalition gained 46% of the vote. This is two percentage points more than in the last parliamentary elections held in Serbia 20 months ago. According to observers, if this result is maintained, Vucic's coalition may win a majority of seats in Serbia's unicameral parliament. 

In second place is the opposition group Serbia Against Violence. According to the latest estimates, it gained  23% of the vote, which entitles it to a minimum of 57 seats in parliament.

Previously 

UNN reported that according to the estimated 65.1% of the ballots, the coalition of Aleksandar Vucic - "Serbia must not stop" is leading with 46.6%. 

Context

On Sunday, December 17, voting in the Serbian parliamentary and municipal elections ended. As of 18:00 local time, the voter turnout in Serbia was 51.93%.

Voters elected 250 deputies to the National Assembly (unicameral parliament) for four years, as well as representatives in 65 cities and municipalities, including Belgrade and the autonomous province of Vojvodina.
